Welcome from the President
G'Day Sharkies.
Sharkies, Bring on the 2019 season.
Welcome players, parents, coaching staff and supporters, to the 2019 footy season! Its time to turf the cricket pitch and dust off the Steeden, as we get ready to take on a huge season of Rugby League.
Registration Day is kicking off this Saturday 2 and 9 February 2019 with the Committee setting up for another huge 2-days at Lake Park from 9am-1pm. On behalf of the Committee, we are looking forward to seeing the returning Sharks for another year, I like to personally ask you to extend the friendship you have shown us in the past, onto the new members joining the Shark family for their first year.
Joining a new club can be as tough on the parents as it is on the players, so please introduce yourself and make our new members feel welcome and at home here at the Sharks.
Rugby League; although it is the greatest game in the world, we need to remember it is a full contact sport and injuries can occur.
It is important for us to ensure we get our players to training each week at every opportunity. Training is crucial part of the game that develops, and conditions the player’s body and mind, providing our player’s with best chance of keeping injury free throughout the season.
This season we would like to invite any new volunteers that would like to help us out around the club, such as canteen duty’s, setting and packing up the fields to helping out on the BBQ’s to name a few. Exciting, we have a new role called Volunteer Coordinator with 2-mums managing this big job, Sara Dutton and Natasha Redfern. A big thank you to these ladies for putting up their hands to manage this weekly management of volunteers. Express your interest to them, your help will be greatly appreciated.
I wish you all the best of luck for the 2019 season and look forward to seeing you down at Shark Park.
UP THE SHARKIES!!!
Please remember our Club is managed by volunteers who have their own families and jobs to take care of in this busy world, as well as running the Narrabeen Sharks for you and your families to enjoy.
Please treat everyone at our Club with the respect they deserve and teach our children the Narrabeen Sharks Core Values.
Kind Regards
Sean Wilkinson
Narrabeen Sharks President
